FAQ

CLASSES & ATTENDANCE

What is Pilates?
Pilates is a low-impact exercise method focused on improving flexibility, strength, and body awareness through controlled movements. It’s especially effective for building core strength and enhancing posture.

I’m new to Reformer Pilates. Can I still take a class?
Absolutely! If you’re new to Reformer Pilates, we recommend starting with our Beginner Reformer classes. Otherwise, feel free to book into an Open lesson.

Do you have any new client specials?
Yes! Our Empower Pass is our new client special. For just $65, you get 5 trial classes to use over 3 weeks. You can sign up for this pass through our app or via the studio’s page.

What’s the difference between a package and a membership?
Packages are prepaid class credits with a set expiry, offering flexibility for those who prefer a casual approach to their Pilates practice.
Memberships are a top choice for regulars. They provide the best value, ensuring consistency and helping you see real results through regular practice. A Lifted membership works like a subscription—think Netflix, but for your body and mind. You’ll be billed weekly for the length of the term you choose, and you can pause it if life gets busy. Plus, you’re not locked into a set number of classes each week. As long as you complete all your classes within the term, nothing goes to waste—no lost credits, no wasted money, just flexibility and fantastic results.

When should I arrive for my class?
We recommend arriving at least 5 minutes before your class to sign in and get settled. Please try not to arrive earlier than 5 minutes, as we often have back-to-back classes, and this helps maintain a smooth flow for everyone.

Can I bring a friend?
Yes! We’d love to have your friends join. If you’re on a Lifted membership, you can bring one new friend for free each month. To send them a free class, just have them create a new client profile and email your studio. We’ll assist with adding a free pass for them to book. Please allow us a day or so to organize this.

What should I wear to class?
Wear comfortable, form-fitting clothes that allow freedom of movement. We recommend grip socks for better stability, but we have them available for purchase in the studio if you need them.

What if I miss or can’t make my class time?
Life happens! You can cancel or reschedule your class through our booking system within a specified time before class starts. Please refer to your studio’s cancellation policy for details. If you cancel too late, you’ll lose your class credit.

What is the waitlist, and how does it work?
If a class is full, you can join the waitlist. If a spot opens up, you’ll automatically be added to the class and notified by email. You can get up to 1 hour’s notice, so if you’re unavailable to attend, please cancel your waitlisted booking.

Help, I need to reschedule or cancel my class!
No worries – you can easily cancel or reschedule via our booking system in ‘My Schedule’. Just make sure to do so within the specified time frame to avoid any fees.

I’m pregnant, can I take a Pilates class?
Pilates can be great during pregnancy, but we recommend checking with your doctor first. Once cleared, we offer prenatal-friendly classes for your first and second trimesters. Avoid Level 3 classes while pregnant.

I have a history of injury or medical issues, can I still take a class?
Absolutely! Our classes are adaptable, but we recommend discussing your needs with your instructor beforehand so they can tailor the session to suit you. Please email your studio with details of your condition or injury before your class.

How old do I have to be to take a class at Lifted?
We welcome clients 16 years and up.
